kktar are abass and stefan, two young musicians. kktar is also the word for chameleon in wolof, a language which is predominantly spoken in senegal.

abass (kknati) was born in ziguinchor in southern senegal and one day started to sing. with his unique voice abass is well known for his contributions to the music scene of dakar: during concerts he is known to jump onto the stage, grab a microphone and sing. stefan's origins lie in bavaria, in the south of germany. one day he started to play guitar and couldn't stop. a string of random events brought the two together and the chameleon was born. since then, it has been out and about, mingling with people, singing and playing and constantly changing its color.
